37 WEEKS!

We made it to 37 weeks yesterday and it was a wild day.
FIRST-HOSPITAL TOUR
John and Annabelle and I went to the hospital for a private tour(Austin had school). It was really nice! All hardwood floors and very calming atmosphere. When you are in the delivery room there are lowlights and just a bed(and this thing hanging from the ceiling you can use in labor). But, all the medical stuff is hidden in cabinets.
Then you go through a door and there is a big birthing pool, exercise balls, and some other laboring tools if you choose to use them.
We were very pleased and are looking forward to a pleasant experience.
THEN-SPENCER LOOKING FOR ATTENTION
When we went to bed last night all was well. About an hour into my sleep I woke up to some intense contractions. I couldn't believe it. I tried to go back to sleep but no, he wasn't having it. So, I got up and walked around. Then, I went back to the bed and tried waking up the husband for some sympathy. I told him what was going on an that it HURT. He said, Okay honey, rolled over and started snoring. Well, I finally got back to sleep. Guess it was okay.
THE MORNING
I woke up this morning and was having a lot of Braxton Hicks. My appt. was already for this morning so I was excited to find out about our progression. Well, guess what!! NOTHING!!!! He said the baby is still floating and that my cervix is still closed. Says the contractions are probably occuring in order to get him down there. On a very positive note, MY IRON WAS UP TO A GREAT LEVEL! This has been a battle for a while and it was the highest it has been the whole pregnancy.
THE GOOD
The great part of this all is that my mom got a ticket to come over. I am so happy about this you just can't imagine. So, I would really like if Spencer could hold out a while longer. At least closer to the time she is coming.
PICTURE
I will have John take a picture tonight and I will add it.

Austin Making His First Snowman Ever!
We had a GREAT day in the snow today. It snowed most of the night last night and then when we got back from my doctor's appt. it started up again. We decided to head out as a family and enjoy the snow. I can't tell you the last time that I have had so much fun! I felt like a little kid again. Yes, I was out running around 36 weeks pregnant having a snowball fight with John and the kids. We even made our 1st snowman and took a pregnant belly shot in the snow.

So Much To Talk About!!

BIRTHDAY PARTY
We had a fabulous birthday party for Austin and two of his girlfriends at the bowling alley yesterday. Yes, a triparty I guess is what you could call it. I think they all had a blast. Austin said to us at lunch today, My bowling birthday was so much fun!! By the way, I noticed I put the arrows backwards on the lane when we were getting ready to sing Happy Birthday. Luckily, he didn't notice.
FRIENDS
It was a wonderful time for me as my friend Jen and her family stayed two nights with us and the 1st night Jen and I were able to go out to dinner with some girlfriends while the daddy's were kind enough to watch the kids. We had some wonderful Thai food and of course good chat time. We missed our friends who were not able to come but do understand. Did I mention it was Valentine's Day. So, this is the reason some weren't able to join us.
VALENTINES
John and I happened to get each other the same gift this year. He got me a pregnancy massage and I got him a massage. I am so excited to go and get mine. Need to make the appt. before Spencer decides to come out.

Yesterday a Pilot, Today an Architect or Maternity Photographer

This child of mine just can't decide what she wants to be when she grows up. Good thing she has many, many years before she has to make a decision. Until then we will just keep exploring the many opportunities. Here are some pictures so you understand what I mean. Please excuse my extreme beauty, I was online trying to buy some last minute stuff for Spencer Baron and she insisted on taking my picture.

A little note about Austin John. As most of you know, he begged and begged us for a baby brother while John was in Iraq and when he came home. Well, as you can imagine, he was thrilled when we told him we were pregnant and beemed when we found out it was a boy. He even named the child for goodness sakes. Well, he told me this morning that he has decided he wants Spencer to wait to come out until he(Austin) is 10. The child is hilarious. When I asked why, he said because when I am 10 I can carry him. Right now, I am 5 and not really big enough. I love the thoughts that go through his mind.

Annabelle's Patches

This morning after breakfast, I was cleaning up in the kitchen. As I walked through the dining room/office, this is what I found. Annabelle was sitting in John's desk chair and had his beret, and his patches on. She says she is going to grow up to be a pilot like daddy.

Three to Compare

I have tried to get a picture of each pregnancy close to this time. People keep asking if I carried like this for the other pregnancies. Well, you be the judge. This first picture is this pregnancy taken at 33 weeks. Meaning I have 7 weeks left.

This picture is of me pregnant with Annabelle and must be very close to the due date because the Christmas towels are hanging and she was born on December 8th.

This photo is me pregnant with Austin. I was due a few days after this picture was taken.

Please share you thoughts.
