SOCCER GAME!!!!

Austin had a soccer game tonight and he was incredible. He scored 8 goals, I thought it was 7 but it was 8 and his team only had a total of 10. He was so excited. Well, I was able to catch 2 of them on video. Please check them out. Click on the link to dropshots on the right of the blog. ENJOY!!!

GARMISCH

Boy have we had the time of our lives!!! We went to Garmisch for the long weekend. I have never been anywhere so beautiful in my life. I was begging John to find a way to be stationed down there. We were busy busy the whole time we were there. We saw some castles, went to a lake, saw the Olympic Stadium, went toboganing, hiked to a Gorge and thru it, saw the Soldier Show put on by the Army, a Memorial Day party(but Saturday night), did some swimming, and even managed to hit the zoo in Munich on the way home. As I said, busy busy. But, it was spread out in a way that it was very enjoyable the whole time.
So, I must share one of my favorite moments real quick. When we did the tobogan, they had a sign that children must be at least 3 to ride. Well, Annabelle was wanting to go really bad. We decided that we would let her go. I sat her between my legs and up we went, click, click, click(did I mention straight up the mountain). I was so nervous. Well, we get to the top and get around the first corner and she yells out whooo hooooo!!! Then, the next turn comes and she turns back to me and yells as loud as she can, FASTER MOMMY, FASTER!!! I believe we have a wild one on our hands. We are in trouble.
For those who don't know, we ended up in the emergency room the evening before we left for the trip. Austin was dropped by a friend on his head the Friday before and had a nice goose egg. We iced, watched eyes, watched for vomiting and kept him up til midnight. No problems. Was healing nicely. Then Thursday, all the sudden it popped back out and he was just sitting on the couch with his friend playing Wii. Scared us to death, so after a trip to the emergency room we found out he was fine. Well, lil sis must have felt bad for him because she tried to run with the big kids last night and fell on her face on the concrete and has a matching egg in the same spot. Unbelievable. My poor babies.

My Birthday

Although my birthday is tomorrow, we have started our celebration early. Most of you know that I usually try to get a "Birthday Week" rather than a day. Well, because it falls on a Monday we started the party today. John and the kids made me dinner and a cake. It was so sweet and delicious. They made steak and lots of veggies. Well, we had to get a picture of the dinner plate because they made me the biggest steak I have ever seen. Then I was able to open my presents from Nani and Poppy. THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM AND DAD. I LOVE MY VERA PRESENTS. I am going to be so darn cute this weekend on our trip. Watch out Garmisch here I come. Here are some pictures from our celebration tonight. Love to you all.

Flowers for Heddie

Well, these are my flowers I have "potted" and hung on the balcony. I have two of them hanging and we love them. I told Austin they were for Heddie. I explained that Heddie always loves to work in her garden and that she would be so proud of us for learning how and would you believe that I just love it? Never knew I would enjoy it so much. Heddie, if you read this blog, we love you and hope you enjoy our flowers. We will send you a picture of them on your Ceiva. We hope you are feeling okay and know you will be better in no time. Take care of yourself and get ready for this wild family because we are coming to see you the first of the year. WE LOVE YOU!!!

Trip to Heidelberg

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Heidelberg. We really had a nice day there. It was a week and a half ago and we will definitely go back again. The castle was a hit with the kids and we really enjoyed walking in the platz. Just walking around and looking at the city. It is right on the river and just beautiful.
