VIDEO

If you would like to see a video of Spencer in action, scroll down on the right side and click on the link under where it says my videos.

2 MONTHS OLD!

Spencer is 2 months old!!! I took him for his check up yesterday and he did great. He was 12 lbs., 22 1/2 inches. 75% weight, 25% height. Believe it or not, his head was not on the larger side. He must not have mommy's big 'ole head. Or else, it just hasn't appeared yet. He received 3 shots and a squirt in the mouth. Poor guy, it is always so sad to watch. Spence really honestly doesn't cry so to see him cry SO HARD really broke my heart. I am trying to think of the latest news about him. Oh, he loves trying to talk, he smiles all the time, still sleeping like an angel. Yesterday, I fed him at 9 and he went to sleep, then when I went to bed at like 11:15he was still sleeping but, I picked him up and fed him. I put him back in his bed and then my alarm woke him up at 6 am. I am just hoping this continues once John gets home and it is not just God giving me some peace while John is away. By the way, 2 days until John gets back. 6 weeks since he has seen this little love muffin. He is going to melt. Oh, I almost forgot. In the last picture you will see Spencers newest accessory. I ordered it online and it is AWESOME!! It is called a WubbaNub. It consists of a stuffed animal with a Soothie pacifier attached to it. He loves it. He can almost push his pacifier back in his mouth by himself now and he has only had it since yesterday afternoon. Here are the many faces of Spencer!! ENJOY!!!

MY BIRTHDAY

My birthday was WONDERFUL!!! My great friend Barbara started my birthday off right for me. She is a really good friend we know from being stationed together in Korea. You might remember the blog from a few months ago where I posted pictures of the gifts she MADE for the entire family when Spencer was born. Well, she has done it again! She remembered that I always say birthdays are really not celebrated long enough. I tell John that I don't have a birthDAY, I have a birthWEEK. So, sweet Barb, sent me a package which happened to get here a week and a day before my birthday. It had a present for everyday of my birthweek. She left instructions to pick one present to open for everyday of my birthweek. I got so many wonderful gifts. Mostly homemade which is what I LOVE. I love you Barb, thank you for always remembering me and for being such a great friend. WE MISS YOU and can't wait to get both families back together soon.
On the morning of my birthday, my brother was still here and he and Austin made me breakfast in bed to start the day off right. Then, they brought me my gifts in bed also. Thank you to everyone for my wonderful gifts. I loved them all!!! We all got moving after this and I decided that we should go to the zoo. We went to the Opel zoo in Frankfurt and it was wonderful. When we came home I made my favorite dinner(Heavenly Spaghetti) and Bubba, Austin and Annabelle made me a birthday cake. I missed having my sweet husband here for the special day but it turned out to be great anyway. THANK YOU UNCLE BUBBA!!! I will post some pictures tomorrow. Right now we have a very hungry baby.

Lots to Blog About

We have had A LOT going on here the last 5 or 6 weeks. First of all, John left when Spencer was 2 1/2 weeks old for 6 weeks. Yes, that's right 6 weeks. His mother came for 4 weeks, one while he was here and 3 after he left. On the day she left UNCLE BUBBA came. We are also having good friends of ours come on Wed. night for a few days. We still have almost 2 more weeks before he comes back. We miss him terribly and can't wait for him to be home but, we are doing great.
Spencer is growing so quickly, I think he is about 11 1/2 lbs. now. We go to the doctor on the 27th for his 2 month check up. I can't believe he will be 2 months next week. Time is flying by. He is an AWESOME baby. He is always pleasant and has been giving me anywhere from 4 to 8 1/2 hours of sleep at a time each night. He is smiling and always trying to have conversations. I am just sad John is missing out on this.
Mother's Day was wonderful!! Bubba got up and made me breakfast and then we headed to Ramstein for the day. They have a Chili's restaraunt up there and I love taking the kids and watching them tear up some ribs. We ate there and did some shopping. I bought myself a new Vera Bradley diaper bag. I will show a picture soon, don't worry.
Tomorrow is my birthday and Bubba was asking what I want for my birthday breakfast because he is offering to get up and make me breakfast. He is so sweet. The kids keep asking me what I want for my birthday and I told them. Mommy wants lots of extra hugs and kisses, a birthday cake(the rainbow chip cake mix and rainbow chip icing), a picture from each of them and to spend a fun family day at the zoo or else Strawberry picking. This my friends is what I want for my birthday. In an ideal situation it will be a day where I don't have to fuss at my children. I just want to play and have fun with them.
By the way, how did my husband possibly get away with a work trip that included Mother's Day AND my birthday in it? Interesting, very interesting. Just kidding, I definitely ENCOURAGED him to go. This was an opportunity we couldn't pass up, even with a brand new baby. Anyways, he already gave me my present. A beautiful family and my ring. Remember the ring folks, I think I have my present for every holiday for the next 2 years. I LOVE YOU HONEY AND WE MISS YOU SO SO MUCH!!!
Other news,
Belle is now sporting glasses. I took both she and Austin to be tested due to my horrible eyesight and some concerning signs I was seeing in both of them. Well, Annabelle was a +1 in one eye and a +2.5 in the other. So, we are trying to strengthen the weaker eye. He is hopeful the glasses will work and so are we. She looks adorable in the glasses and is doing well now that I have come up with a plan. I told her for every day she wears her glasses she can wear a dress the next day. IT WORKS!!
Austin and Annabelle are still playing soccer and loving it. Austin scores at least 3 times every game and Annabelle scored at the last game. She was so excited. They are loving there baby brother. He is definitely loved A LOT.

Well, here are some pictures.
