We had a great time last night. We went to dinner in downtown Wiesbaden with a friend, Brian, from Embry-Riddle. We haven't seen him since I was pregnant with Austin. Boy how time flies. We were in Alabama with him for flight school. Anyways, he lives here and was married this past year and is expecting his first baby. We loved his wife, she is very sweet. She is German so she was able to explain some things to us about the culture and help with pronouncing the words correctly. They brought another couple with them, Amy and Scott and Scott went to Embry Riddle with John also. Small world. We didn't really know Scott but we did go to a formal with him one time. They were a nice couple. We ate at a German restaurant and it was delicious.
Today we slept in and then caught the bus to Mainz Kastel. We had lunch there and then just went to all the different stores. It is neat. Instead of just one PX everything is broken up into there own stores. Great for us because it just means a better selection. We ran into our friend John we know from Korea. So nice that we have been able to see all of these familiar faces. We then rode the bus back, let Harley out and then hiked up to Hanenburg to where the main PX is and saw a movie at the theater. We took the kids to see The Bee Movie. We had already seen it but they don't care. Had dinner at the food court and then huffed it back to the hotel. It was FREEZING!!! Annabelle's nose was so red by the time we got back.
We did our best to get good pictures today but the fog was awful and the bus was moving to quickly. I took some to appease everyone for now but when we get our car I will be sure to send better ones. Better get the kids to bed. They are still not on the schedule and it is getting really frustrating.
